- Exceptional Customer & Brand Experience: Consistently deliver an outstanding brand and customer experience through meticulous preparation, a proactive and positive attitude, and fostering seamless teamwork within the service department.
- Leadership & Team Motivation: Lead and inspire our team of technicians through exemplary conduct and encouragement, particularly during periods of heightened workload, maintaining morale and productivity.
- Operational Efficiency with CDK: Utilize CDK (or equivalent dealership management systems) to diligently monitor technician activities, ensuring precise clocking onto repair orders, accurate flagging of time allocation, and consistent progress on daily repair assignments.
- Technical Proficiency & Diagnostic Skills: Possess comprehensive knowledge of all tools and equipment essential for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems across the entire spectrum of Mercedes-Benz models.
- Performance Management & Organization: Demonstrate robust organizational and follow-up capabilities, including the daily review of technician production performance. This involves generating and analyzing relevant reports to optimize technician output and proactively addressing any impediments to production efficiency.
- Customer Communication & Interaction: Interact professionally and effectively with customers, clearly explaining required repair work, accompanying them on road tests to diagnose issues, and competently addressing customer inquiries regarding their Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- Mentorship & Technician Development: Assume responsibility for mentoring and training technician trainees, interns, and seasoned line technicians. This encompasses imparting proper diagnostic methodologies, elucidating the utilization of available tools and resources, instilling best practices for superior repair work, and promoting the adoption of efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Conduct & Workplace Standards: Monitor and address technician conduct, implementing disciplinary measures when necessary, while also rigorously maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring all technicians adhere to these standards within their respective work areas.
- Commute to Manhattan: Reliably commute to and from our Mercedes-Benz Manhattan location in New York City on a daily basis.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation range for this pivotal Shop Foreperson position at Mercedes-Benz Manhattan is $130,000.00 – $150,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
