Mercedes-Benz of Loveland Opens its Doors in Northern Colorado

The burgeoning economy of northern Colorado continues to attract significant business investments, highlighted by the recent grand opening of Mercedes-Benz of Loveland. On Tuesday evening, four hundred guests celebrated the unveiling of this sophisticated dealership, located within the bustling Crossroads automotive complex just off I-25, east of Loveland.

The dealership is the result of an impressive nine-month renovation project, transforming the building into a modern, glass-fronted showroom. This prime location previously housed Ferrero Chrysler Jeep Dodge, which closed its doors in 2008, and now marks a new chapter as a luxury automotive destination.

Overseeing the operations of Mercedes-Benz of Loveland is Kevin Steward, also the owner and general manager of the successful Mercedes-Benz of Westminster. Trent Olinger will serve as the general manager on-site in Loveland.

“This expansion significantly enhances our reach into a rapidly growing area where we’ve seen increasing customer engagement,” stated Steward. He further emphasized the strategic importance of the location, noting, “This isn’t just about northern Colorado; it extends our footprint into the adjacent states to the north as well.” The nearest Mercedes-Benz dealerships to the northwest and northeast are situated in Salt Lake City and Rapid City, South Dakota, respectively, underscoring the strategic advantage of this new Loveland location.

Mercedes-Benz of Loveland joins a growing enclave of luxury automotive brands in the region. It sits conveniently south of Co’s BMW within the same Crossroads complex and a short drive north of Stevinson Lexus and the soon-to-launch Rickenbaugh Infiniti dealerships.

Christina Dawkins, owner of Co’s BMW, welcomed the new neighbor, stating, “We’re thrilled to see Mercedes-Benz open here. Having a competitor in close proximity will ultimately benefit consumers and all of us in the area.” This sentiment highlights the dynamic and competitive nature of the luxury car market, where Mercedes-Benz and BMW, renowned German premium car manufacturers, are established rivals globally.

While market research from Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) indicates interesting trends in car buying preferences – noting that men tend to lean towards domestic U.S. or European luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, and women often consider import automakers with a focus on affordability – the appeal of the Mercedes-Benz brand in Loveland is expected to resonate broadly. The blend of luxury, performance, and German engineering offered by Mercedes-Benz is anticipated to attract a diverse clientele in the northern Colorado region.

The arrival of Mercedes-Benz of Loveland signifies not just the expansion of a renowned automotive brand, but also a positive indicator of economic growth and consumer choice within the northern Colorado market.
