The M Class Mercedes 2012 range offered a variety of models, each equipped to provide luxury and performance. Starting with the ML350 and ML350 Bluetec, these models came standard with features designed for comfort and convenience. You could expect 19-inch wheels, a sunroof to brighten the cabin, and a power liftgate for easy access to the cargo area. Fog lamps were included for enhanced visibility, and inside, dual-zone automatic climate control ensured a comfortable environment for both driver and passengers.
For driving comfort, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel was standard, along with eight-way power and heated front seats, and reclining rear seats for passenger relaxation. The interior was finished with MB-Tex premium vinyl upholstery. Mercedes’ COMAND electronics interface was included, managing vehicle functions alongside Bluetooth connectivity, the TeleAid emergency telematics service, and an eight-speaker sound system. This audio system featured HD radio, a CD player, and USB/auxiliary jacks for various media sources.
Stepping up to the ML550, Mercedes added sporty 19-inch AMG wheels and practical running boards. A trailer hitch was also included, expanding the vehicle’s utility, along with rear seat side airbags for enhanced passenger safety. Notably, aside from the AMG wheels, all these additions were available as options on the ML350 trims, allowing buyers to customize their base models.
To further personalize the M Class Mercedes 2012, several option packages were available. The Premium 1 package enhanced convenience with a rearview camera, power-folding mirrors, and auto-dimming rearview and sideview mirrors. It also upgraded the steering column with a power tilt-and-telescoping function and driver memory settings. Navigation, voice controls, satellite radio, an iPod interface, and a 10GB digital music storage completed this package, focusing on technology and driver assistance.
The Premium 2 package built upon Premium 1, adding keyless ignition/entry for ease of use, heated and cooled cupholders for added comfort, a Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system for an enhanced audio experience, and ambient cabin lighting to refine the interior atmosphere.
For handling and performance enhancements in the M Class Mercedes 2012, the Dynamic Handling package included larger 20-inch alloy wheels and an advanced air suspension system. This system featured adaptive dampers and stabilizer bars, contributing to a more controlled and comfortable ride. The Lighting package improved visibility with adaptive bi-xenon headlights, complete with washers, and corner-illuminating lights for better nighttime driving.
Safety was further addressed with the Lane Tracking package, which incorporated blind-spot warning and lane departure warning systems. The Driver Assistance package expanded on this by adding active cruise control, including active PreSafe braking, enhancing driver assistance and preventative safety measures. For those anticipating off-road adventures, an off-road package featuring selectable terrain modes was planned for later in the model year.
Individual options for the M Class Mercedes 2012 allowed for ultimate personalization. A panoramic sunroof created an open and airy feel, while active park assist simplified parking maneuvers. A night vision camera enhanced safety in low-light conditions. Triple-zone climate control provided customized comfort for all occupants, and full leather seating and ventilated front seats added premium luxury. Heated rear seats increased passenger comfort in colder climates, and a rear seat entertainment system catered to passenger entertainment needs. Two-tone leather upholstery and various cabin accents, in metallic and wood finishes, offered aesthetic customization.
At the top of the range, the ML63 AMG delivered high performance with a twin-turbo V8 engine. It featured active roll stabilization, upgraded brakes, AMG-tuned suspension and steering for sportier handling, and 20-inch wheels. Inside, special leather upholstery, sport seats, and unique AMG styling elements set it apart. The Premium 2, Lighting, and Lane Tracking packages were standard on the ML63 AMG, reflecting its top-tier status. The AMG Performance package was optional, further increasing engine output and raising the top speed. Optional 21-inch AMG wheels and most of the other trims’ optional equipment were also available for the ML63 AMG, allowing for bespoke configuration even at the highest performance level of the M Class Mercedes 2012.
