2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: Model Overview and Features

The 2011 Mercedes-benz C-class offers a range of models, each with unique features and options to cater to different preferences. While the C300 and C300 4Matic share the same engine and all-wheel-drive availability, they present distinct styling, interior finishes, suspension tuning, front seat designs, and standard transmissions.

Both 2011 Mercedes-Benz C300 models are well-equipped as standard. Expect to find 17-inch wheels with unique designs, a sunroof to brighten the cabin, automatic headlights for convenience, and cruise control for relaxed highway driving. Inside, dual-zone automatic climate control ensures personalized comfort, while the tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and eight-way power front seats allow for optimal driving position. Vinyl upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, and an eight-speaker stereo system with CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and a pop-up 5-inch display screen provide essential entertainment and connectivity features.

For enhanced features, the Premium I package significantly upgrades the C300. This package includes auto-dimming mirrors, a 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar support and memory functions, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and automatic wipers. Heated front seats add comfort in colder climates, while satellite radio expands entertainment options. A power rear sunshade offers rear passenger comfort and privacy, and split-folding rear seats enhance cargo versatility. The lighting package further enhances visibility and style with active xenon headlights with washers, LED running lights (standard on the Sport version), and LED taillights.

Stepping up, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport essentially builds upon the C300 Sport, incorporating the Premium I package as standard. It distinguishes itself with a more powerful V6 engine and black bird’s-eye maple wood trim for a sportier interior ambiance. At the top of the range, the C63 AMG dramatically elevates performance. It boasts a potent V8 engine, a firmer sport-tuned suspension, larger brakes for enhanced stopping power, and 18-inch AMG wheels. AMG-specific interior and exterior styling cues, leather AMG sport seats, and aluminum paddle shifters complete the high-performance package.

Further customization is available through optional packages. The Multimedia package adds the COMAND electronics interface, a hard-drive-based navigation system with real-time traffic updates, a six-CD changer, an iPod interface, 6GB of digital music storage, and a larger pop-up display for improved infotainment. For the ultimate in luxury within the C63 AMG, the AMG Seating package offers front memory seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and upgraded leather upholstery. Performance enthusiasts can opt for the AMG Development package on the C63, which boosts horsepower by 30, upgrades the brakes, includes a limited-slip differential and track-calibrated suspension, raises the top speed, and adds a leather/faux suede steering wheel.

For added peace of mind, a new prepaid maintenance option was introduced for 2011 (excluding the C63 AMG). This covers scheduled maintenance for 3 years or 30,000 miles. Standalone options allow for further personalization, including 18-inch wheels, a panorama sunroof (excluding C63), a rearview camera (requiring the Multimedia package), leather upholstery, heated front seats, keyless ignition/entry, satellite radio, the iPod interface, and a premium Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo system. The 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class provides a compelling blend of luxury, performance, and customization in the compact sedan segment.
